Mike Peters brings decades of athletic and coaching experience to Dandelion Jiu-Jitsu & Wrestling. Since 2015, he has served as the Wrestling Coach at Notre Dame, where he has developed athletes with a focus on strength, discipline, and technique.

From 1997 to 2016, Mike competed as a powerlifter, holding multiple state and world records in the 220 lb and 242 lb weight classes. His achievements on the platform are a testament to his dedication to training and performance at the highest level.

Before his powerlifting career, Mike was a standout varsity swimmer at the University of Connecticut from 1989–1994, where he also founded and launched the school’s club water polo team. His diverse athletic background across multiple disciplines gives him a unique perspective as a coach.

Mike is also a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt, continuing to challenge himself on the mats and bring grappling knowledge into his coaching.

In addition to his competitive and coaching career, Mike has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2008, earning his credentials through ExpertRating. He brings this professional training knowledge into his coaching, helping athletes build strength, improve conditioning, and achieve their goals.
