Pete Trenchard

Youth Jiu Jitsu Coach

Coach Pete Trenchard brings over 20 years of teaching and coaching experience to Dandelion’s children’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program. A longtime educator with degrees from Sacred Heart University, Pete has taught Social Studies at West Haven High School since 1999 and mentors future educators as an Affiliate Professor at Albertus Magnus College.

His coaching background spans multiple sports—serving as a varsity head coach, youth coaching director, and founder of Elite Soccer Camps. In every role, Pete blends leadership, motivation, and a deep understanding of child development.

On the mats, Coach Pete creates a positive, engaging environment where young athletes build confidence, discipline, and a love for learning. His experience makes him a trusted mentor who prioritizes safety, fun, and personal growth.

We’re proud to have Coach Pete leading our youth BJJ program and shaping the next generation of martial artists.
