James Cook brings over a decade of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, martial arts, and education to Dandelion. A First Degree Black Belt and accomplished educator with a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D), James blends his teaching expertise with a deep martial arts background to foster growth, resilience, and community on the mat.

As a competitor, James is a two-time Reality Fighter Super Fight winner, an IBJJF medalist at the New Haven and New York Opens and has competed in elite events like the Polaris Trials, ADCC Trials and BJJ Fanatics Invitational. He is also an undefeated MMA fighter in the XCP promotion.

At Dandelion, James creates a structured, beginner-friendly environment where students of all levels feel supported, challenged, and part of a growing community.
